A good friend of mine, Jordan Claydon-Lewis, is publishing his new gay romance novel this October. I produced Collide to share my perspective on the book. After reading the new novel, I felt inspired to produce this piece. I enjoyed painting as I daydreamed about the emotions and characters brought up by this heartfelt novel.

The novel explores the story of two young travellers who cross paths in Australia, and follows the character’s ups and downs as they fall in love. Jordan has offered a unique perspective that I just haven’t found in any other novel. I particularly enjoyed his references to the people and places you can only find hidden away in Australia.

Throughout the novel, the protagonist Thomas refers to his relationship with Bruce as two comets colliding, their rugged edges sticking together like magnets. Comets are extremely cold, mind you. They sit at around -220 degrees Celsius. In this piece, I have illustrated Thomas and Bruce as if they are two comets that have collided and melted, now flowing together like cascading waterfalls.

I’m just so excited for all the gays to get their hands on this book! Art prints will be up on my website later tonight!

Art Print Sizes

All art prints are made full-bleed, this means your print is the exact size you order, and has no white boarder. This is to allow for easy framing.

If you are going for a borderless look, simply purchase a frame that is the same size as the art print your purchase.

If you are looking for a print with a boarder, simply purchase a frame with a white boarder and an opening that is your print size. For example if you buy an A3 print, purchase a A2 frame with an A3 opening.
